Exploration Drilling Delivers Further High-Grade Gold Intercepts at Tindals Mining Centre

Tuesday , 11 Aug 2009

·         Latest underground diamond drilling continues to confirm extensions to Perseverance ore body; high-grade results from first five holes in current program include:

o   5.41m @ 33.03g/t Au;

o   3.99m @ 11.62g/t Au; and

o   1.45m @ 11.89g/t Au.

·         Follows up excellent results achieved from drilling program at Perseverance South undertaken earlier in the year.

·         Drilling forms part of an ongoing diamond drilling campaign targeting strike and depth extensions of known deposits at the Tindals Mining Centre.

Australian-based gold producer Focus Minerals Ltd (ASX: FML; "Focus") is pleased to announce further significant high-grade gold intersections from the current round of drilling being undertaken at the Tindals Mining Centre, part of the Company's Coolgardie Gold Project located in Western Australia's Eastern Goldfields region.

The diamond drill rig is currently drilling underground at the Perseverance deposit, where assay results from the first five holes have just been received (see Table 1).

These results included high-grade down hole intercepts of 5.41m at 33.03g/t, 3.99m at 11.62g/t, and 1.45m at 11.89g/t and were intersected 15 metres below the lowest developed level at Perseverance (225mRL).

Drilling continues at Perseverance down dip from these results, proximal to the high-grade results which were announced to the ASX on 1 April this year.

The current results are part of an ongoing diamond drilling campaign aimed at substantially increasing Focus' gold Reserve base ahead of the commissioning of the Company's 1.2Mtpa Three Mile Hill processing plant later this year.
